Regarding Susan Sontag is a 2014 documentary film about the American intellectual Susan Sontag directed by Nancy Kates. It premiered at Tribeca Film Festival on April 19, 2014. The film's broadcast premiere was on December 8, 2014 on HBO. Patricia Clarkson does voiceover for quotes from Sontag in the film.[1] Harriet Sohmers Zwerling and Judith Sontag Cohen are interviewed in the film.

Critical reception

CineVue's Patrick Gamble gave Regarding Susan Sontag a rating of three out of five stars.[2] V Magazine's L.A. Collins described the film as "breathtakingly visceral and complex".[3]

Awards

The film was nominated for the award for Best Documentary Feature at the 2014 Tribeca Film Festival. It lost to Point and Shoot, however it received the Special Jury Mention for Best Documentary Feature.[4]
