The Republic Party is a republican political party registered in Great Britain[1] and Northern Ireland.[2] Founded in 2016 and headquartered in Salford, Greater Manchester, its founder and leader is Stuart Cremins.[3] According to Cremins, “The Republic party in itself is radical. A fairer democracy would be as a republic, and that is proven around the world."[4] The official colour of the Republic Party is white. The party stood their first ever candidate in the 2016 local elections, in the Pendlebury ward for Salford City Council, getting 21 votes.[5] The party have announced that they are selecting a candidate for the upcoming election for Manchester Mayor.
