Awards Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross

Richard Lepper (15 July 1897 – 30 March 1943) was a highly decorated Generalmajor in the Wehrmacht during World War II. He was also a recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross. The Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross was awarded to recognise extreme battlefield bravery or successful military leadership. Richard Lepper was captured by Soviet troops after the fall of Stalingrad. He died in captivity on 30 March 1943.
