Robert Montgomery, MD, PhD, FACS, is chief of the division of transplantation and director of the Comprehensive Transplant Center at Johns Hopkins, where he is a faculty member, known for his irreverent antics and unconventional style at the conservative institution.[1] He works on difficult kidney transplant surgeries, often involving multiple kidney swaps, has been profiled on numerous television programs including the Today Show, NBC Evening News and Good Morning America.[2] He also starred in the Hopkins mini-series in 2008 on ABC.[3]
Dr. Montgomery is married to opera singer Denyce Graves,[4] whom he met on a plane.
