Robert Augustus de Lasaux (24 November 1834 – 7 December 1914) was an English cricketer. De Lasaux's batting and bowling styles are unknown. He was born at Canterbury, Kent, the son of the city coroner, and died there as well.[1]
De Lasaux made his first-class debut for the Gentlemen of Kent against the Gentlemen of England at Lord's in 1858. He made two further first-class appearances in 1858, one for Kent against England at the St Lawrence Ground, Canterbury, and another for the Gentlemen of Kent against the Gentlemen of England at the St Lawrence Ground.[2] He scored a total of 41 runs in his three first-class matches, which came at an average of 8.20, with a high score of 35.[3] He was one of the original members of the amateur Band of Brothers cricket team.[1]
His obituary in The Times in 1914 records that he was "an expert diabolo player" as a youth and had revived his skills for an exhibition in 1907.[1]
