Robin Queen is the Chair of the Department of Linguistics at the University of Michigan. She is the Arthur F. Thurnau Professor and Professor of Linguistics, English Languages and Literatures, and Germanic Languages and Literatures.[1]

Queen was previously the co-editor-in-chief of the Journal of English Linguistics from 2006-2012.[1]

Her work has primarily focused on the language of lesbians and also on bilingual education and culture, especially among those of Turkish descent in Germany. She has also studied the interaction of personality and grammatical views.[2]

Queen is an elected Fellow of the Linguistic Society of America from 2015. [3]
