Rollin Dart

Rollin Bashford Dart (2 December 1925 – 5 May 2016) was an American banker. He was the chairman of Dart National Bank from 1962 to 2005 and its president from 1962 to 1999.[1][2] He continued to serve the bank as Chairman Emeritus and Community Relations Officer until his death in May 2016.

Dart National Bank, an independent community bank founded in 1925, serves suburban and rural areas around Lansing and Mason, Michigan.[3] During Rollin Dart's chairmanship, the bank opened new branches and expanded to serve areas beyond its original hometown; its assets grew from $8 million to $179 million. As of December 31, 2006, the bank's assets stood at $228 million.[4]

Family

Dart was the son of Doc Campbell Dart, who had been Chief Executive Officer of the bank from 1943 to 1960,[5] and the father of punk rock musician Doc Corbin Dart. He was also related to the family which founded the Dart Container Corporation.
