34070 Manston SR 4-6-2 Battle of Britain Class Built in 1947. Returned to service at the Swanage Railway in 2008 and owned by Southern Locomotives Limited. Boiler Ticket expires in 2018.
31806 SR 2-6-0 SR U Class Built 1924 as a SECR K1 "River Class" 2-6-4 tank locomotive No. A806 River Torridge, and rebuilt as a U Class tender locomotive in 1928. An overhaul to running condition was completed in 2010. Based at Swanage Railway from September 2014. Privately owned. Boiler Ticket expires in 2021.[3]

34072 257 Squadron SR 4-6-2 Battle of Britain Class Built in 1948. Arrived at the Swanage Railway in 1990 and owned by Southern Locomotives Limited. Overhaul nearing Completion at Herston works. Expected to return to service spring 2017.
31874 SR 2-6-0 SR N Class Built in 1925 and arrived in 2014. Undergoing overhaul at Herston works for a return to service in 2017. She will also be mainline certified to run into Wareham.
80104 BR 2-6-4T Standard Class 4 Built in 1955. Arrived at the Swanage Railway in 1984 and owned by Southern Locomotives Limited. Returned to service after overhaul in March 2015 with a new seven year ticket. Ticket expires in 2022. Returned to Swanage in September after undergoing axlebox repairs at Tyseley Locomotive Works.Currently having new liners fitted before return to service.
34010 Sidmouth SR 4-6-2 West Country Class Built in 1945. Arrived at the Swanage Railway in 2006 and owned by Southern Locomotives Limited. Under restoration in conjunction with 34028s overhaul.[5]
34028 Eddystone SR 4-6-2 West Country Class Built in 1946. Arrived at the Swanage Railway in 1999 and owned by Southern Locomotives limited. Boiler Certificate expired in August 2014. It's overhaul has now commenced alongside 34010s restoration.[5][6]

Bulleid carriages

[21] The 1940s Southern Railway designs of Oliver Bulleid produced a very clean, modern-looking carriage, many of the features of which were perpetuated in the BR standard (Mk. I) designs.
