Rona Green (artist)

Rona Green is an Australian contemporary visual artist.[1]

Work

Known for figurative artwork that often centres around anthropomorphism and subculture,[2][3] Green works primarily in printmaking,[4] painting, drawing and soft sculpture which she refers to as poppets. Mixing fantasy and reality, many of Green's animal portraits re-code domestic animals as members of underground human society through use of the tattoo.[5][6] Green's work is represented in many corporate, university and public art collections including Artbank and the National Gallery of Australia.[7][8]
