Sankarapuram is nearer to Kalrayan Hills. Proximity of clouds fall near the peak of Vellimalai hilltop is a popular tourist spot for locals during the monsoon season. Vellimalai is a pristine unexplored location.The hills range in height from 2700 feet to 3000 feet and extend over an area of 1095 square kilometres.
