Sara Hagemann is a London-based Danish academic and an expert on the European Union. She serves as an Assistant Professor at the London School of Economics and a member of its European Institute.

In October 2016, she was blocked from advising the British government's Foreign and Commonwealth Office on Brexit.[1][2][3] Nick Clegg, the Liberal Democrats' spokesperson on EU affairs, called it "utterly baffling".[1][4] The annoucement made international headlines.[5][6]
