Sasha Hutchings

Sasha Hutchings is an American actress, singer, and dancer known for her contributions to the theatre.

Hutchings was born and raised in Macon, Georgia. She attended Oklahoma City University for college.[1]

After starring in several regional theatre productions at such venues as the Lyric Theatre, Hutchings made her Broadway debut as a replacement swing in the musical Memphis. In 2013, she played Claudette Robinson, Billie Jean Brown, and a Marvelette in the musical Motown on Broadway.[1] Meanwhile, she had a recurring role as a dancer on the TV series Smash, appearing on five episodes.[2]

In 2014, she acted as assistant choreographer for the film Progess (and Unrelated Things) and played an Apollo Girl in the Broadway production of Rocky. She made her off-Broadway debut in 2015 in the ensemble of the musical Hamilton. She, and the show, transferred to Broadway later that year, where she understudies the roles of Peggy Schuyler and Maria Reynolds. She was nominated for an Astaire Award for the show.[1]

Outside of Hamilton, Hutchings appeared on the TV series Blue Bloods as Ariel Rice and, in 2017, will play the secretary in the film Sidney Hall.
