Seabee Heights

Seabee Heights is a rugged snow-covered heights rising to 3,400 metres (11,200 ft) in the Queen Maud Mountains. The heights are about 15 nautical miles (28 km; 17 mi) long and 5 nautical miles (9.3 km; 5.8 mi) wide and are bounded by the flow of the DeGanahl, LaVergne and Liv Glaciers. Named by Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names (US-ACAN) for the U.S. Navy Construction Battalions (Seabees) which have played a significant role in the building of U.S. Antarctic stations.
