Selwyn Aldridge Jones (born May 13, 1970) is a former cornerback who played six seasons in the National Football League.

At the time of his entering the NFL Draft, Jones had set the career record for interceptions (since passed by Ray Jackson in 1995) with 15 at Colorado State University. He would finish the 1990 season with 6 interceptions.[1] Jones would finish the 1993 season under Bill Belichick and Nick Saban with 24 tackles and 3 interceptions for the Cleveland Browns. Jones was able to intercept David Klingler of the Cincinnati Bengals twice in a September 5,1993 nationally televised game. Jones hauled in another interception against Steve Young and the 49er's the very next week in a Monday night matchup in 1993. After being released mid-year from the Cleveland Browns, Jones signed with the New Orleans Saints in late October 1994. Jones would land with the Seattle Seahawks in 1995. In 1996, he would play in all 16 games for the Seahawks. Jones completed the 1996 season with 1 start and 24 tackles.[2] Jones sustained a left knee injury early in the season and was placed on season ending IR (injured reserve) in 1997 for the Denver Broncos. In Super Bowl XXXII, the Denver Broncos defeated the Green Bay Packers thus earning the city of Denver and Selwyn Jones their first Super Bowl ring.

Personal Life

Jones' parents are Alvin & Shirley Jones. He has two brother's named Alvin Jr. and Avery. Jones is married to Raquel Ramirez and has one daughter(Anastaja). Jones currently resides in the Houston area and is a Purchasing Manager for a Fortune 500 company. Also, Jones is involved in several businesses with his younger brother, Avery (Stop-N-Style mobile barbershop & AveMusik LLC).
