Seren Serengil (Born on April 6, 1971) is a Turkish singer and actress. She was born in Istanbul, Turkey, and has acted in films and TV series. Her father Öztürk Serengil was a very famous actor, theatre performer and showman.

Career

Seren Serengil made her debut in a movie called Sarhos (1977) as a child actress along with her father Öztürk Serengil. In the early 90s Başka Olur Ağaların Düğünü TV series along with actor Mehmet Aslantug was a big hit which, followed by her movie Alev Gibi Bir Kız along with Hakan Ural. At the age of 16 Seren was hired by Fahrettin Aslan to perform at the Maksim Casino as an Assolist (female headliner singer) which gave her media nickname of Turkey youngest female headliner singer.Seren debut album "Ayrıldık" was released in 1991 and its main single "Bana Hersey Seni Hatirlatiyor" became a very huge success. Since then she has released three other notable albums and one single. Her most popular album was "Bu Gecenin Hatirina" which sold 170,000 copies with one video clip only and increased her popularity greatly. Serengil plays classical piano and She has written and composed some of her songs by herself including her 2006 single "Dost Bile Kalamadık" and songs like "Insan Severse Ozler", "Sen Sansiny Kaybetin","Sesiz Telefon". During her music career she worked with famous names such as İbrahim Tatlıses, Emrah, Selami Sahin, Soner Sarikabadayi, and Serdar Ortaç.

Serengil has made hundreds of TV appearances in Turkey as a singer and Talk Show Host. In 2007, She appeared on Show TV's "UçanKuş" show as a host along with Erol Köse and Bekir Hazar. In 1993 she appeared in Music videos for Emrah Ipek songs Haydi Şimdi Gel and Töre. Seren and Emrah also acted in Yasak Sokaklar and Belalım Benim Series together. These clips and movies were hugely successful for both Seren and Emrah.

Seren has Released her last Album "Ben adamı ayrılırken tanırım" on December 2010. She worked with famous names such as Selami Şahin, Serdar Ortaç and Soner Sarıkabadayı for her last album.The first music video from the new album premiered on December 2010 and has become very popular. In 2011, she had a morning tv program called Seren Serengil İle Evlenir Misin? which aired on Show TV. In, 2014 she appeared on Cine5's "Kim Ne Derse Desin" program as one of the one of the main hosts for two seasons.

Book

in 2007, Seren released a book about her whole life with Title of Nefret which sold more than 6,000 copies in first Four days of its release. The subject of this attractive book is mostly about Seren childhood life as daughter of one of the most memorable artists in turkey Öztürk Serengil and her mother Nevin Teoman who has been grown in Turkish media industry.hj
