Sergio Flores (born July 23, 1988), better known by his stage name Sexy Sax Man, is an American saxophonist that mainly plays on the alto sax, best known for playing the saxophone hook on the Redfoo single "New Thang."[1]

Flores has also recorded with The Faceless[2] and Symphonic Circles.

He is a YouTube personality, known for the prank video "Sexy Sax Man Careless Whisper Prank feat. Sergio Flores (directors cut)" by Mike Diva. The video depicts Flores crashing a variety of events (e.g., shopping malls, university classes) where he repeatedly plays the signature sax riff from the 1984 hit song "Careless Whisper" despite requests to stop, often while gyrating his hips in an exaggeratedly sensual manner. His actions sometimes cause laughter, and other times provoke irritation or warnings from security guards to leave the property. The prank video was posted on March 12, 2011, and as of July 2016 had over 30 million views.[3] He said during an interview that he used a Yanagisawa alto sax. [4]

Early life

Sergio Alejandro Flores, was born July 23, 1988 in Monterey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. He attended Schurr High School in California. He worked as a woodwind repairman for 2 years. He became a second dan black belt. [5]

New Thang

In the New Thang music video he is stealing Redfoo's girls by just playing his sax.[6]
