Shevgaon is a city in Shevgaon tehsil of Ahmednagar in the Indian state of Maharashtra.

Shevgaon was traditionally been "shiv" or boundary between western Maharashtra and Marathwada regions. Many villages of this tehsil were sub-merged into waters of Jayakwadi dam in the 1970s. Earlier Shevgaon was known as Shivgram because there were Five Shiv mandir's around the city.

Amarapur 12 km from Shevgaon is the birthplace of Bollywood actor Actor Sadhashiv Amarapurkar.

There is a newly established 'Renuka Mata Madir' that is such a beautiful place. There is also a Datta Mandir in 'Vanshpayan Nagar' 2.5 km from the main city. Every year 'Datta Jayanti festival' is celebrated there.

7 km from shevgaon is a small village name Ghotan where an ancient temple of goddess Kalika is situated. She is worshipped by Kasar samaj. Every year on the 10th of Chaitra there is social gathering of all devotees. There are various religious function held and at evening there is Mahaprasad for all devotees.

Avhane - Temple of Ganesh (Nidrista/Sleeping) is very near from Shevgaon. Avhane is 15 km from Shevgaon.
