Simon During
Simon During (born 1950) is a New Zealand born academic. He is a Professor at the Centre for the History of European Discourses at the University of Queensland.[1]
During obtained his PhD in Victorian literature from University of Cambridge. He has worked at the University of Melbourne and as a Professor of English at Johns Hopkins University.[1]
His most well known work is Modern Enchantments: The Cultural and Secular Power of Magic (2002), which explores the history of magic. It has been positively reviewed.[2][3][4]
