The Snow Bowl was a 2013 football game between the Detroit Lions and the Philadelphia Eagles in Philadelphia. In the middle of the first half it began snowing and about half a foot fell in less than an hour. The NFL decided to not postpone or cancel the game. So the game was played in blizzard like conditions and the Eagles won by a final of 34 to 20.

Conditions

The snow didn't start until mid-way thru the first half of play.[1] The blizzard conditions got so bad that FOX has to digitally out the yard and number markers on the field. This was due to the heavy snowfall as the grounds crew would shovel the lines and number and minutes later they would be buried again. At one 30-45 second stretch announced for FOX and TV viewers couldn't even make out or see the players or playing field.[2]
