For over 30 years, the Solano County Arts Council (SCAC) has been committed to creating opportunities for people to thrive and to making the arts accessible to all the citizens of Solano County.

Solano County has the most diverse cities (Vallejo and Fairfield) in the US. The SCAC supports artistic and cultural activities that serve all of Solano County communities and populations.

Following is a brief description of some ongoing SCAC Projects:

Folk Artist Workshops and Exhibits, deepen the community awareness of our rich and diverse cultural traditions.

EcoArt, a community art project, showcases amazing art pieces made entirely of found and recycled materials. In so doing, it inspires awareness of the arts as a means of promoting a progressive, environmentally aware community.

The goal of the Free-Theater-Tickets-Giveaway is to help create a new generation of theater-goers in Solano County.

Through Veterans' Workshops and Exhibits, veterans are given the means to heal, improve their lives and become self-sufficient through the arts.

Youth and Elder Hands-On-Art, provides the opportunity for participation in projects, workshops, and exhibits to broaden skills and exposure to the arts.

Thousands of volunteer hours go into our county-supported art projects. These great community events bring youth and adults together in a cooperative and positive manner.
