St. Louis Surge

The St. Louis Surge is a professional women's basketball team based in St. Louis, Missouri. They play in the Women's Blue Chip Basketball League. They are 3-peat regional champions for the years 2013, 2014 and 2015. They are 2-time National Champions for the years of 2014 and 2016, making head coach Tony Condra the most decorated head coach for the Surge. The Surge is heading into their strongest season yet, as they head into their 6th season under its current management.[1]

The St. Louis Surge has been a part of the WBCBL since 2008, which was a professional development woman’s league that consists of 40 member teams from major cities across the United States. The focus of the program is to promote sport participation and provide players the opportunity to meet with recruiters and scouts from various colleges, universities, and professional teams in different countries.

In March 2011, the St. Louis Surge finalized a new coaching structure under new ownership by Khalia Collier, General Manager. The St. Louis Surge currently consists of players from different basketball backgrounds, who have come together to show their love and passion for the sport. All players have had high school and college basketball careers, and have continued the game of basketball post graduation.

Participation in the WBCBL allows athletes' talents and skills to be evaluated by professional basketball scouts and agents. The network of agents has a proven track record of job placement for dozens of athletes who are currently playing professional basketball.
