Stainsby, North Yorkshire

Coordinates: 54°32′01″N 1°16′56″W / 54.5337°N 1.2821°W / 54.5337; -1.2821 Stainsby, in North Yorkshire, England, is an abandoned village near Acklam, a suburb of Middlesbrough. Little more than mounds near the A19 road are now visible.[1] The Chris Rea song, Stainsby Girls refers to his teenage years, spent at the local county modern school.
