Steven "Steve" Quinn (1951 – 2016) was a rugby league footballer of the 1970s and 1980s, who played as a centre for York and Featherstone Rovers.

Playing career

Quinn started his career at York , making 114 appearances for the clubs between 1970 and 1975 before joining Featherstone Rovers.[2] he went on to become Featherstone Rovers' record goal and point scorer,[3] and finished his career with a total of 3,438 points.[4]

Challenge Cup final appearances

During the 1982–83 season, Quinn played in Featherstone Rovers' 14–12 victory over Hull in the 1983 Challenge Cup final at Wembley on Saturday 7 May 1983.[5] He scored four conversions during the game, including the match-winning penalty.[2]

County Cup final appearances

Quinn played Centre, i.e. number 4, and scored 3-conversions in Featherstone Rovers' 12–16 defeat by Leeds in the 1976 Yorkshire Cup final during the 1976–77 season at Headingley Stadium, Leeds on Saturday 16 October 1976, and played Centre, i.e. number 4, (replaced by Interchange/Substitute Neil Tuffs) and scored a conversion in the 7–17 defeat by Castleford in the 1977 Yorkshire Cup final during the 1977–78 season at Headingley Stadium, Leeds on Saturday 15 October 1977.
