Tennessee Christian Preparatory School (TCPS) is a private Christian college preparatory school located in Cleveland, Tennessee.[2] In addition to being the only state-accredited private college preparatory school in the immediate area.

History

TCPS was founded in 1997 by a group of parents committed to Christian education. When initially founded, TCPS was named Tennessee Christian Academy. In 2008, school administrators increased academic rigor, tightened admissions policies and began to focus on providing college-preparatory education for all students. It was at this time that the school took on its current name, Tennessee Christian Preparatory School.

Campus

Currently, TCPS leases its campus on the former site of Tomlinson College of the Church of God of Prophecy. As the Church of God of Prophecy has announced plans to revive their college on the campus,[3] TCPS has acquired property for a new campus.

Extracurricular Activities

Athletics

The men's basketball team is coached by Frank Walker and his knowledgeable assistants: Clayton Harris and Solomon Williams. Frank Walker is a Lee University legend. Harris and Williams also had successful careers playing basketball. Nathan Boyd and Robbie Davis are two of their players who are prospects for the 2017 and 2016 class. Jacob Coleman is the only former player with 1,000 points scored.

TCPS fields interscholastic athletic teams in football,[4] golf, and volleyball.
