The Challenge of Peace: God's Promise and Our Response is a pastoral letter of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, which applies the Just War Theory to the moral problem of nuclear proliferation in the era of the Cold War, issued in 1983.[1] It is part of the Catholic social teaching tradition.
