The New York Times Fiction Best Sellers of 1952

This is a list of adult fiction books that topped The New York Times Fiction Best Seller list in 1952.[1]

The Caine Mutiny was an extremely popular novel by Herman Wouk which tells of a fictional mutiny in wartime. In 1951 and 1952 it spent a total of 48 weeks at the top of the NYT fiction bestseller's list and 122 weeks on the list overall. It is thought that the extraordinary success of this novel prevented William Falukner from achieving his only Number 1 bestseller with his novel Requiem for a Nun.[2]
