Tim Ferry

Tim Ferry II (born March 18, 1975) is a former professional Kawasaki rider Supercross and Motocross racer. Ferry began his amateur career with Team Green throughout the 80's and early 90's. He turned pro in 1992 and won the 125 East Coast Championship in 1997 riding for Suzuki. He moved up to the 250cc class the following year and started riding for Yamaha. In 2001 he started riding on a 426cc four-stroke. He won his first 250 cc Motocross race that same year. Ferry currently is retired from professional racing.

Biography

2007

In his first year back with Kawasaki, Ferry earned 13 top-five finishes and six podium finishes in the AMA Supercross series to end up third overall. In AMA Motocross, he continued his success, going on to finish fourth overall in the series. Ferry was a member of winning Team USA at the Motocross of Nations, winning the Open class.

2006

Ferry entered 2006 season with a new determination and strength with a new team. He had six top-ten finishes in the AMA Supercross series and finished 11th overall despite missing the last two races due to injury. He finished tenth overall in the AMA Motocross Series.

2005

Ferry finished 12th overall in the AMA Supercross Series. 24th overall for the AMA Motocross Championship season.

2004

Ferry had recurring injuries throughout the season. He was only able to race three events during the AMA Supercross Series and was unable to race in the AMA Motocross Championship.

2003

Ferry was on top of the podium four times during the AMA Supercross Series and took fifth overall. In the AMA Motocross Championship he fared slightly better with eight top-five finishes and took fourth overall for the season. Ferry was also selected to represent Team USA at the Motocross of Nations. The highlight of the year was Ferry's first Moto win at Budd's Creek where he humiliated the competition and straight up beat "The Goat" Ricky Carmichael.

2002

Ferry wrapped up his 2002 AMA Supercross Series with 14th overall and his AMA Motocross season with second overall.

2001

Ferry rode consistently and finished the year out with sixth overall in the AMA Supercross Series and third overall in the AMA Motocross Championship.
