Torarica Group

Torarica Group is a group of hotel properties in Paramaribo, Suriname. The hotels include the "landmark" Torarica Hotel & Casino,[1] Eco Resort, and Royal Torarica Hotel[2] built in 2006. Torarica was the original capital of Suriname.

Torarica Hotel & Casino is known for its casino and the mirrors and chandeliers decorating itsinterior. It is located across from "The Strip", an area with diverse restaurant offerings.[3]

Royal Tororica Hotel is located in Paramaribo. It is part of the Torarica Group of Hotels.

The hotel is the only four star plus hotel in the country and by far the most luxurious hotel in Suriname.

The Royal Tororica was designed by the American architect Lane Pettigrew. Construction started in 2006. The architecture has stylistic cues from the tower of the Ministry of Finance building in Paramaribo's Independence Square. The building has 105 rooms and features high ceilings and glass elevators.[4] It is one of the most luxurious hotels in the Guianas.[5]
