Trailfinders is a travel company in the United Kingdom and Ireland and is notable for being the largest independently owned travel company in the United Kingdom. Trailfinders has 29 travel centres in the UK and three in Ireland. The company specialises in tailormade travel worldwide.

Trailfinders was founded in 1970 by former SAS-officer Mike Gooley [1] CBE with a staff of four. The company remains privately owned but today has a staff of over 1000 and has made travel arrangements for nearly 15 million clients.

Mike Gooley also owns Bloomfield Lodge, a boutique lodge set between the Daintree Rainforest and Great Barrier Reef in Far North Queensland, Australia.

Mike Gooley, founder of Trailfinders, was the biggest private donor to the UK Conservative party in October to December 2014. He donated £500,000 (BBC News 19/2/2015).

Since 1995, Trailfinders has donated over £40 million to charity, the majority of which has been for the benefit of medical research.
