Tursko Wielkie[3][4][5] [ˈturskɔ ˈvjɛlkʲɛ] is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Osiek, within Staszów County, Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship, in south-central Poland. It lies approximately 9 kilometres (6 mi) south-west of Osiek, 19 km (12 mi) south-east of Staszów, and 72 km (45 mi) south-east of the regional capital Kielce.[6]

The village has a population of Increase 352.

The village is the location of the Battle of Tursko during the Mongol invasion.


Demography

According to the 2002 Poland census, there were 346 people residing in Tursko Wielkie village, of whom 52.3% were male and 47.7% were female. In the village, the population was spread out with 24.8% under the age of 18, 36.2% from 18 to 44, 19.7% from 45 to 64, and 19.3% who were 65 years of age or older.[2]
