The eCampus University (Italian: Università degli Studi eCampus), often simply abbreviated as "Uniecampus" is a private accredited university founded in 2006 in Novedrate, Italy. Today is located in five other cities: Rome; Turin; Naples; Bari; Palermo.

History

The university was promoted by the "eCampus Foundation for universities and research", by Francesco Polidori, founder of the for-profit franchise chain CEPU (European centre for university preparation). Due to aggressive advertising, the Italian Data Protection Authority ordered the university to cease the abusive telemarketing practices in 2015.[2]

The authorization decree to establish university courses was issued by the Ministry of Education MIUR. The training activities began in the academic year 2007/2008.

Method of Study

The University provides three different learning options: e-learning, on-campus, and a combined distance and residential programme for non-EU students. The fruition of the courses are through the eCampus online platform or through a fully functioning University campus that offering a complete University experience to those who choose to live on campus.

Campus

University buildings

The Campus is located inside Villa Casana park, in Novedrate. The main building designed by the architect Bruno Morassutti and consists of 12 towers interconnected at various levels and insists on a park of over 10 hectares, of which 60,000 m² for the exclusive use of the University, full of greenways and sports equipment.

The property has 270 apartments (including studios and apartments) for students and teachers.

The University is located inside a historical building in Via Matera, 18.
