Uppidamangalam is a panchayat town in Karur district in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu.

As of 2001 India census,[1] Uppidamangalam is located approximately 12 km east of Karur city with a population of 10,039. Males constitute 50% of the population and females 50%. Uppidamangalam has an average literacy rate of 62%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 74%, and female literacy is 50%. In Uppidamangalam, 8% of the population is under 6 years of age. Uppidamangalam has the second largest cattle market in Tamil Nadu.It is a famous for its market.

The great architect Shivakumar Ramachandran was born in this village.
