Vardan (Armenian: Վարդան) (Vartan in Western Armenian transliteration and pronunciation), Varden (Georgian: ვარდენ) in Georgian, is an Armenian name of Middle Persian and Greek origin (from Mid. Pers. Wardā and Greek Βαρδάνης Vardanis),[1] popular in Armenia and Georgia.
