Versió Rac 1

Versió Rac 1 is a radio show broadcast by Catalan radio station RAC 1. The show is written by Xènia Lobo, Rosanna Carceller, Laia Prats and Emma Aixalà. The main host of Versió Rac 1 is Toni Clapés, who is well known in Catalonia for doing impersonations of Llongueras, José Maria García and even Chelsea F.C.'s past coach José Mourinho.

Other various collaborations include: Sr. Marcel·lí (Jaume Nolla): an old man who says he was in the Titanic and met a lot of old celebrities. He doesn't understand much of the modern world and has a strong opinion about a now independent Catalonia. It is frequently stated that he is married and lives in a shared-time apartment in Salou.

Other collaborators include; Roger Jové (back up host), Montse Lluçà (scriptwriter and summer host), Oriol Cruz (impersonator) and Pep Plaza (impersonator master).

Former collaborators Joan Spin: is a TV-showman always interested in old-fashioned topics such as 80's music and past TV series. Another main character he voices for is a Car Repair shop employee located in Barcelona's district "el Carmel". His listed interest include women and cars.

Current program

Since September, 2005, Versió Rac 1 can be tuned on Rac 1 radio station (87.7 MHz frequency in Barcelona metropolitan area, and other frequencies for different areas of Catalonia). Program schedule is from 16.00 to 19.00 (CET) all weekdays.

Versió Rac 1, formerly Versió Original when broadcast in 1997 by Catalunya Ràdio began as a 1-hour humorous review of the day's news. Eventually became a 3-hour show which includes various sections including humor, culture, news, TV analysis and other topics. Nowadays is the most listened show in the evening drive time in Catalonia.
