Volodymyr Heninson

Volodymyr Heninson (born May 12, 1976, Kyiv) - President of Ukrainian Premier League.

Biography

Born on the 12th of May 1976 in Kyiv. He got his degree abroad by completing Champlain College in 2001 in Berlington, Vermont (USA). He started his career working in international hotels group HowardJohnson and Intercontinental. Having got experience in administration abroad, came back to Ukraine and headed Catering and service department Hyatt Regency Kyiv Hotel. After that he held the post of Development director in management company Vertex Hotel Group. Member of ЕSSMA Committee (European Stadium and Safety Management Association) in Ukraine. ESSMA coach. Free-lance coach of Amsterdam Arena Advisory. Member of UEFA Committee concerning security and development of stadiums in Ukraine. Honorary President of Olimpiyskyi Stadium. From March till December 2015 held the post of Executive director of FFU, and from December 2015 became the Head of Cooperation service with FIFA and UEFA[1]. On the 29th of February 2016 at the General meeting of Members of Ukrainian Premier League has been elected as its new President[2]

Experience

His first steps in sports management Volodymyr began to make in 2011, when National agency on preparation and holding of the final part of Euro in 2012 in Ukraine and realization of infrastructure projects appointed him at the post of Exploitation director at Olimpiyskyi Stadium. He passed training at «Amsterdam-Arena» — on the basis of the course by Amsterdam Arena Advisory under the supervision of specialized consultants and managers of the stadium, which deal with planning, development and exploitation of multifunctional buildings. He got certificate on passing of trainings in EVMI's school (Stadium Management Summer School 2011). And also he got the certificate of coach from European Stadium and Safety Management Association (ESSMA). Volodymyr has successfully launched into operation huge sports center Olimpiyskyi Stadium, signed a contract with FC Dynamo. Arena began to host football matches, perfecting the work of the system before Euro-2012. As a result, stadium hosted all 5 matches of Euro, including the final match and official Championship closing ceremony. Then there were successful negotiations with producers of such well-known stars as Red Hot Chili Peppers and Madonna. Concerts took place at Olimpiyskyi Stadium.
