Votiro, (formerly MobileTick), has developed an anti Spear-Phishing service that prevents attackers from breaching computers using an unknown or zero-day exploits

History

Founded in 2010, Votiro started under the name Mobile Tick - a company that aimed to supply cyber protection for mobile devices. In order to maintain, Votiro's owners tested organizations penetration vulnerabilities which made them realize that modern organizations are extremely vulnerable to Spear-Phishing attacks. After seeing the major security hazards in this kind of vulnerability, Votiro was founded.

Cyber threats

Spear-phishing

Phishing attempts directed at specific individuals or companies have been termed spear phishing. Attackers may gather personal information about their target to increase their probability of success. This technique is, by far, the most successful on the internet today, accounting for 91% of attacks. 95% of All Attacks on Enterprise Networks Are The Result of Successful Spear Phishing[1] There was a 91% increase in Spear-Phishing campaigns attacks from 2012 to 2013.[2]

Unknown threats

Signature-less APT's that can not be detected by traditional security solutions such as Anti-Virus. Unknown threats/exploits can remain undetected by security software for a very long time, in which an attacker can implement his malware in the system. The moment an unknown threat becomes known it is categorized as a Zero-Day threat.

Zero-Day exploits

A Zero-Day exploit is when an unknown vulnerability becomes known and the vendor of the product is developing a patch which will counter the vulnerability. The patching process usually takes up to 90 days if not more.

Cyber security products

Spear-phishing protection service

Votiro's most successful product, the SPS eliminates threats from attackers who use APT's to breach computers. The SPS technology use micro changes to each file attached in an email, eliminating the potential exploit from being deployed.

Secure data sensitization

Votiro SDS solution is deployed in many organization including Government, Utilities, Finance, Military and more. The SDS solution is a self-sustained service that protects large organizations from being breached.
