Well Hung Heart

Well Hung Heart is an American rock band formed in Orange, California in 2011 by vocalist and lyricist Greta Valenti and guitar player Robin Davey.

Career

In 2011 Well Hung Heart started to build an online presence by releasing a series of rehearsal videos and songs. Their first release entitled The Rehearsal Tapes Volume 1 (The State Of America EP) sold out almost immediately.^[1] It contained a real dollar bill each uniquely defaced by the band as part of the artwork.^[2] In 2011 the band were asked to perform at Hoaxfest in the UK and Europe including shows at London's O2 Academy in Islington.^[3] In 2012 Well Hung Heart strengthened their online presence releasing a number of music videos, produced and directed by the band themselves, and grew their tumblr followers to over 40,000.^[4] In 2013 Well Hung Heart's music video "Devil" was nominated for Best Music Video at the OCmusic Awards alongside No Doubt and Dirty Heads.^[5]

Robin Davey is also a member of Alternative Pop group The Bastard Fairies, as well as British Blues Hall-of-Famers, The Hoax. He has performed and recorded with Mick Jagger, Katy Perry, Buddy Guy and David A Stewart. Greta Valenti was a founding member of the Alternative Rock group, Fuji Minx, and had been a nationally touring theatrical performer and musician since the age of 4.

TV show

Well Hung Heart are the creators of the TV show "Made In 48". It is a web based music showed in which Well Hung Heart invite guests over to their house, and together they create a new song and music video. The music video and song is then released, all in the space of 48 hours.^[10] Episode 01 was premiered in February 2013 and features guests Gram Rabbit.

Other film work

Band members Greta Valenti and Robin Davey also own the production company GROWvision. They have produced and directed music videos for Papa Roach, Jet, Buckcherry and Drowning Pool. In 2012 they also took over the Production of the Palladia Channel show "Live From Daryls House", with Robin Davey directing and Greta Valenti Producing. The show was created by Daryl Hall from Hall and Oates. Robin Davey is also the director of the award winning documentary "The Canary Effect".

The OC Music Awards is an annual awards ceremony established in 2000 and held in Orange County (California). Well HUng Heart has won two awards from four nominations.^[11]
