William Candlett (1847 20 June 1904) was an English cricketer. Born at Newton, Lancashire, Candlett was a right-handed batsman who bowled right-arm medium pace.

He made one appearance in first-class cricket for Kent against Yorkshire in 1880 at Mote Park, Maidstone.[1] He batted once in the match, scoring 3 runs before he was dismissed by Billy Bates, as well as bowling a total of nine wicketless overs across the match, which Kent won by 64 runs.[2]

He died at Salford, Lancashire on 20 June 1904.
