William Robert Munroe (4 April 18861 March 1966) was a vice admiral in the United States Navy.

On 1 October 1941, then-Rear Admiral Munroe was the commanding officer of Battleship Division Three in the United States Atlantic Fleet.[1] He was the commandant of the Third Naval District from 31 March 1944 to 6 November 1944.[2] Then, as a vice admiral, Munroe took command of the United States Fourth Fleet.[3]

Munroe was married to Katherine J. Munroe (1894-1979). He died on 1 March 1966, and is buried with his wife at Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery in San Diego, California.[4]
