Workshop kitchen + bar or simply workshop is a well-known restaurant and bar located in Palm Springs, California. The restaurant got huge media coverage due its award-winning architecture designed by SOMA, a New York City based firm.[1] The restaurant is owned by Michael Beckman and Joseph Mourani. And have excelled many accomplishments because of its modern and contemporary designing.

Development

Michael Beckman, Joseph Mourani and Candy Urreola are key players in the development of Workshop Kitchen + bar. Michael, who is chef owner, has worked as private cook from the past several years, where he’s majorly occupied farmer’s markets of Santa Monica & Hollywood. Joseph Mourani is the original owner and Candy Urreeola is restaurant manager.[2]

CSR and Farms

The Restaurant is also active in the community, it supports farms like Bautista Creek, Lucerne Valley Brandt Farms, Hemet Weiser Farms, Thermal Bautista Family Date Ranch, Indio Harry's Berries, Salton Sea County Line,Aguanga Wong Farms, Oxnard Sage Mountain,Tehachapi Mountains Carlsbad Aquafarm, Salton Sea Ha’s Apples,Carlsbad Gonestraw Farms, Riverside, Moreno Valley Drake Family Farms,and Ontario Tilden Farms.

The owners are also running few community drives for sake of Corporate Social Responsibility, which includes Palm Springs Historical Society, Palm Springs Preservation Foundation, National Public Radio Fashion Week Modernism Week Spanish, Weekend, Palm Springs Certified Farmers, Market Palm Springs Unified, and School District American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.[3]

Ratings and accomplishments

Zagat has listed the Workshop Kitchen among "new and classic standbys" and "places to eat and drink in Palm Strings right now".[4] In 2013, SOMA’s “industrial chic” design made it possible for the restaurant to claim one of the top 2 spots and thus was selected out 667 entries as the best designed restaurant in the America by the Restaurant and Bar Design Awards.[5] David Cohen, A food critics of Daily Bulletin, reviewed by stating "Workshop Kitchen & Bar offers 5-star cuisine in Palm Springs".
