Wyatt Hawn Russell (born July 10, 1986) is an American actor and former professional hockey player.

Life and career

Russell was born in Los Angeles. He is the son of actors Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn,[1][2] His mother and his maternal grandmother are Jewish. His paternal grandfather is actor Bing Russell. He is also the half-brother of Boston Russell and of actors Kate Hudson and Oliver Hudson, and a cousin of former Major League Baseball player Matt Franco.

He played for numerous amateur and one professional hockey teams, including the Richmond Sockeyes, Langley Hornets, Coquitlam Express, Chicago Steel, Brampton Capitals, the University of Alabama in Huntsville and Groningen Grizzlies.[3] His career was cut short due to injuries.[4]

Russell appeared in films, such as Escape from L.A., Soldier, Cowboys & Aliens, This Is 40, Love and Honor and We Are What We Are. He also co-starred in the 2014 film 22 Jump Street.[5] In 2016, he co-starred in a film that premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival called Folk Hero and Funny Guy. In 2016, he appeared in "Playtest", an episode of the anthology series Black Mirror.[6]
