Zawata (Arabic: زواتا) is a Palestinian town in the Nablus Governorate in northern West Bank, located 6 kilometers Northwest of Nablus. According to the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS), the town had a population of 1,900 inhabitants in mid-year 2006.[1]

History

According to the 1931 census, taken by the British Mandate of Palestine authorities, Zawata had 73 occupied houses and a population of 247, all Muslim.[2]
