Farkas Bethlen (born 12 June 1957)[1] is a Hungarian politician, who currently serves as Mayor of Verőce since 1998.

Life

He was born into an old aristocrat family as the sixth child of Count Dániel Bethlen and Countess Ilona Bethlen. He finished his secondary studies at the Franciscan Grammar School in Esztergom. He worked as a car mechanic for six years after the school. He established a small textile factory in Szentendre. After that he founded the Danube Bend Radio in Vác.
