Musikari Kombo

Musikari Nazi Kombo[1] (born on March 13, 1944) in Bungoma District is a Kenyan politician and serves as a nominated Member of Parliament. He joined Misikhu Primary School for his elementary education, then proceeded to Rakwaro Primary School, and finally moving to Mumias where he completed his primary education. He then joined Nyeri High School for his secondary education.

He undertook his undergraduate studies at The University of Nairobi, majoring in Economics. He previously represented Webuye Constituency, having been first elected into office in 1992. He has also served in the Kenyan Government as The Assistant Minister for Planning, Minister for Regional Development. He took over the Local government Ministry in late 2003. As of June 2015, Kombo is the Chairman of FORD-Kenya.

As of June 2015,, he is the immediate former MP for Webuye having lost the seat Orange Democratic Movement's (ODM) candidate Alfred Sambu in the 2007 Kenya General Election.

His Roots

Musikari Kombo hails from the larger Luhya community Bukusu sub tribe Balunda clan (descendants of Mulunda, believed to have migrated into Congo from East Africa).

He is a Catholic by religion.
