Its original corporate programme is to provide engineering and technological solutions in energy, healthcare, infrastructure and construction industry.[6] In fiscal 2013, Siemens in Pakistan scored major successes in all four Sectors.

Energy Sector

The High Voltage (HV) substations business unit implements turnkey projects of up to 500kV, including air-insulated and gas-insulated solutions. It won substation contracts from Agha Khan Hospital, Agha Steel and JDW Sugar Mills in Pakistan as well as 220kv substations at Khulm and Pul E Alam in Afghanistan.

The Energy Service division has performed scheduled maintenance of turbines and generators for companies, including Kot Addu Power Co. Ltd. (KAPCO), Rousch Pakistan Power Ltd. (Rousch), Fauji Kabirwala Power Co. Ltd. (FKPCL) and Central Power Generation Co. Ltd. (CPGCL), which together contribute more than 1500 MW to the country’s national grid. The division is also executing a long-term contract with Rousch on a 450 MW power plant, which recently saw the successful life-time extension on two gas turbines and a steam turbine along with their generators. In addition, the business provides preventive maintenance solutions to compressor trains installed at the Sui, Sawan and Kandhkot compression facilities that are an integral part of the country’s gas supply network.

Siemens secured the largest compression renovation project from Pakistan Petroleum Limited (PPL) for re-bundling of fourteen compressors installed at Sui Gas Field Compression Station. With its trained and skilled employees and advanced technology, the Energy Service Division is now preparing to extend its reach to the oil and gas sector. The sector is a major manufacturer of power and distribution transformers.
