CSRA Regional Development Center

The Central Savannah River Area Regional Commission (or CSRA-RC) is a regional commission that encompasses 13 counties and 39 cities in East Central Georgia. This quasi-governmental organization offers help in aging-related services, economic development, business lending, finance, information technology, government services, and planning.

Additionally, the CSRA-RDC is the state-designated Area Agency on Aging for its member counties. This means that they work with local providers to ensure services for the elderly.

The CSRA RDC was founded in 1962 as the Central Savannah River Area Planning and Development Commission. It was one of the nation’s first councils of governments, serving as a forum for its members to work collectively on projects with regional significance or requiring multi-jurisdictional cooperation.

The mission of the Central Savannah River Area Regional Development Center is to provide planning, management and information services to our members in a professional, ethical, cost effective and efficient manner; and to serve as a forum for addressing local government and its citizens’ needs.
