Downey, Iowa

Downey is an unincorporated community in Cedar County, Iowa, United States.

Downey was laid out in 1853 at the time the Chicago, Rock Island and Pacific Railroad was built through it.[1] Downey is named for its founder, Hugh D. Downey.[2]
