Horton, Howell County, Missouri

Horton is an unincorporated community in Howell County, in the U.S. state of Missouri.[1]

History

Horton was platted in 1883, and named after George Horton, a railroad official.[2] A variant name was "Cordz".[1] A post office called Cordz was established in 1886, and remained in operation until 1914.[3]
