Jhabiran

Jhabiran is a village situated in the Deoband Mandal of Saharanpur District in Uttar Pradesh, India . It is about 452 kilometres from the state capital Lucknow. In fact there are two villages that go by the name Jhabiran, the other Jhabiran is situated in Nanauta mandal, also in Saharanpur District.[1]

Jhabiran is a midsized village and has a population of about 1,893 persons living in around 322 households. It is a predominantly Muslim village, with half the population belonging to the Muslim Tyagi community. Other castes include the Hindu Tyagi, Faqir, Nai, Kumhar, Muslim Teli, Teli and Bhishti. [2]
