Laura Coleman (b. c. 1986) is an English model, who won the Miss England 2008 beauty pageant.

Biography

Born in Melton Mowbray, Coleman comes from a family of beauty pagent winners. Her maternal grandmother Irene became Miss Army Pin-Up and Miss Lovely Legs in the 1940s. Her mother Dena won 15 titles in her 20s, including Miss East Anglia and was a finalist in the Miss United Kingdom.[1]

Coleman won the title of Miss Leicester in 2005 while studying for a degree in business and marketing at De Montfort University in Leicester,[1] and came fourth in Miss England that year.[2]

After graduation, Coleman started working at a golf club,[1] and after winning Miss Derby in 2008, she won Miss England on her second attempt on 18 July 2008. Coleman then represented England in Miss World 2008, but was unplaced.

In 2011, Coleman took part in Miss Universe Great Britain representing Leicestershire, but failed to reach the final three.

Laura is currently a radio presenter with community station 103 The Eye.
